I know there are cameras on various other lakes on the outskirts of the BWCA but, since I drove back there to scout things out (Not that I'm itching to get on the water or anything ) I thought I'd give an update on this more remote EP.
Obviously still ways to go but it was encouraging to see some areas of water (not open) on the surface. Lots of moose tracks along the road(s) along the drive. Still several pockets of knee deep snow around but, it is not compacted and should go quickly when it warms up again. The road is has been cleaned of all fallen timber and the only minor concern was that it was "soft" in a few spots.
Because cell service seems to be a question that comes up on a fairly frequent basis, I will also mention that my brother just happened to call just as I was pulling up to the landing/campground and we had a 20+ minute conversation without interruption/loss of signal.

Thank you for updating those of us too far south to swing in for a look-see! :)
