Our little fisherwoman tallied her first ever walleye on a recent trip to Buck Lake. Completing the Grand Slam (for this season). She also caught (and released) her personal best bass & northern on this trip.
She caught several fish & it was great to watch her really enjoy herself catching them. Although she did start getting a little cocky that she was outfishing Dad. :) Don't know that she will be able to claim 3 personal bests on the same trip again? Great times!

Congrats to Aurora (and the proud Papa)! Is this the Buck Lake between Western and Chad? If I remember correctly , it looks like the photo was taken near the portage to Western and the campsite. I've been on quite a few lakes, and it is still my favorite lake in the BWCA. Aurora's doing better than me - I've never caught a lake trout.

Good eye Ben! Indeed it is THAT Buck Lake pretty much right where you said. We were out for 8 days and spent (and enjoyed) a couple nights on Buck Lake at the mid lake site. We only seen 3 other groups the whole trip & one of them was at the other site on Buck. Currently working on a trip report.... P.S. thanks for the helpwith regards to this area.
