Sandy landing, but not good for swimming. Open woods, but you can only somewhat see Cedar-2. It looks like an intermittent creek runs right by the grate. Nice seating around the grate. Both tent pads are pretty slanted.

The landing is a little beach. Straight line of sight to Cedar #2 but it's quite a distance off, maybe 400 feet? We could not hear the people talking. The site is 200' or so off of the lake in the old growth forest. Not much understory. There's a trail that goes along the lake and trail runners or hikers are likely to come by, but they come through by the lake and not right in the site. Latrine trail is fairly long but the view at the top is rewarding. We had a large tent, a screen tent, and a hammock set up; plenty of room.

Decent sand beach for landing but not great for swimming. Site is isolated from good fishing, beaches and portages but on hiking trail. Trail from landing to site is better than Cedar 2 but still a good uphill hike. There are a couple of decent tent locations. Fire ring is alright but there are no sitting logs. There’s no place to hang anything. Latrine is awesome-isolated with a beautiful view atop the edge of a ravine
