As others have said, this site was great other than the landing. Since it is a decent paddle to the north end of the lake, we didn't see much traffic other than the occasional person coming to see if the site was open and our neighbor on the island site. We caught one nice bass from camp but had to get out of the shallow bay in order to catch walleye.

The landing is a bit challenging/rocky, and the water on the shallow side so it wasn't our favorite spot for swimming. However I really enjoyed this site. It was up above the water and great for breezes which made the bug situation quite pleasant, even at the latrine. One of the tent pads did take quite a bit of wind during a storm. We just had 2 two person tents. The kitchen area is large with lots of seating and the trees are great for a tarp and for setting up hammocks in various private locations. Also fun to explore and climb back behind the site.

The campsite is beautiful and fairly large. We fit a group of 8 guys comfortably. The tent pad nearest to the fire was large enough to fit two 3-4 man tents. The other tents were set up in different spots closer to the landing area. The landing itself is pretty rocky, but not too bad if you are careful and know what you're doing. Most of the campsite is higher up off the lake, which makes for a better view of the lake, but also can be a hassle for getting water, doing dishes, etc. We had low expectations since it was the only open campsite on the lake, but we were pleasantly surprised. Granted, we stopped at the campsite on the island to the west, and it was much nicer and closer to the water. 3/5 stars

Great views from this elevated rocky shore site. The island helps break protect the site on windy days.

Great spot for kids. Plenty of room, nice trees to hanging tarp and food packs. Large kitchen area.
