I took shelter here during serve thunder storm weather and even stayed the night. It is located on a flat rock outcrop and has a stand of trees that survived the last fire in 2018 that provides shelter. This is a great spot for a few tents and tarp shelter. There are two well built fire rings, with one down by the lake and one further up if it is windy. 5 stars since it is the only good campsite on this part of the Irvine loop.
