I stopped here for lunch on my recent trip, but have stayed here overnight in the past. I agree with all the comments: easy access, nice shade, good wind shelter, a few level tent pads, and nice firepit with log benches. The high usage is starting to show.....

This is a surprisingly good site considering how traveled and used Telescope Lake is. There's plenty of shade, flat sites and lots of room. It feels less worn out than the main site on the west side of the island. I actually prefer this site for its shade.

Site is on north shore of the larger island midway between the east and west points. Decent fire/kitchen area. Swimming is easy off shallow sloping rocks. Landing is good. Nice trees for hammock.
