This area had burned totally a few years ago, regenerated into 4" jack pine, then burned again. The whole site is on a rock and surrounded by all the standing, 4" dead pine a pyromaniac could EVER WANT! But really, there is a decent tent pad on a rock, as they are all in this part of the park really. No tent stakes needed. But it now has a rebuilt firepit and all the wood you ever would want is nearby. There are no big dead trees to fall on your tent and kill you. We actually liked this little site a lot, and there are very few, if any, others to choose from. Take this one, look no further.
