This worked as a nice base camp; was quiet with limited boat traffic. Tents were protected from the wind in to T-storms. The site had enough sand the (2) 3/8" rains over night drained nicely. Fishing for northern was really good along the islands in the middle. As noted on maps the lake is shallow with beautiful lillies in July - you will need to filter the water.

Nice camp with plenty of space for tents and/or hammocks. We set up two of each. Fire grate right on shore. Caught a 36" Pike while cooking dinner. Also caught a 13" crappie and a few small bass/pike from shore. Landing was poor but that may have been due to flooding. Would have given a higher rating if it weren't for the landing and the motor boat access to this section of the lake.

I pushed the group I was guiding a little bit and got us here the first day. Glad I did. Site is set up from the water a bit with a nice sand beach. Awesome camp kitchen area. Tent pads are grassy and flat. Beautiful site.
