BWCA Campsite 1766 on South Farm

This is probably 1.5 stars because there is not a good, level tent pad. Otherwise I would rate it higher. The landing is OK - it was a little difficult getting in and out of the canoe. The tent pad area has some very large rocks scattered throughout, so it makes selecting a tent pad difficult. I think it would be good for hammocks, though. Nice view of the lake. Down a short path there is a rock ledge to look out over the lake, swim, or fish.

Nice if you are not wanting to get far from civilization for whatever reason (have an infant with you, first time camping, whatever). There is a rock ledge that extends out that's nice to fish from or swim. The tent site is not level! Landing can be tricky. Next door island has an eagles nest on it that is usually occupied. This lake is open to motor boat use.
