While I didn't intend on visiting this campsite, I crash landed here. There were huge waves rocking the lake when I woke up in the morning in the SE campsite. I was solo in a tandem hull so big waves have a potential to really slow my progress. Despite fighting as best as I could, most all I accomplished was working sideways until I ran ashore here. This looks like a nice site with an open camp kitchen among the pines. From there, I pushed off to keep fighting towards the portage and to try to see where the old island campsite used to be.

Has a couple decent tent pads and couple more that would do if needed. The fire grate/cooking area is really great! One of the better ones I've ever used. Several big flat rocks for setting up stoves and cooking gear. Pretty decent view and lots of sun throughout the day. We were able to catch a few fish right from camp but it's pretty shallow as far out as you can cast.

Beautiful campsite! The landing is a bit tricky- some maneuvering required. We caught mostly smallies over the weekend, but a few walleye right off the campsite one evening. Found a path to the east side with a man-made rock bench overlooking the nearby cove- very pretty.

This is one of the best sites on the lake. It is fairly large and open with large red pines spread out in the site. It faces west and had a nice breeze thru it most of our 5 day stay in July which kept the bugs down until the evening. We based camped and had 3 tents and 2 large tarps and it still did not feel crowded. I would of given it a 5 star rating but the landing is very poor. Nothing but big wave swept rocks. This site would be less desirable if you were expecting some high winds out of the west. I did not see all of the sites on the lake (3 of the 5) but when I return to this lake, and I will, I will head directly to this site. BTW, the fishing was VERY good on this lake. I was surprised, folks told me the locals fished the Walleye out. We found lots of Walleye.
