Outstanding site! I camped here for three nights on the cusp of an early snowstorm and freeze-up of this lake. This site has it all! Sandy beach, plenty of flat tenting spots, latrine with a view of the lake that's still private, mammoth pines to provide shade, a stellar view of the west, and several tarp/hammock trees. This site connects to the Astrid Lake Trails and these are quite scenic as well. Firegrate was also top shelf and several nice log seats surrounded the grate. This site also has a picnic table! Fun options to paddle up the Hunting Shack RIver or to Pauline Lake.
