This site is open. It isn't marked on my Voyageur map, so wasn't I confused when I rounded a corner to find two young guys fishing without a single pack in their canoe. "Sure a long way from a campsite", I thought. Then I paddled a little further to find them occupying this site. The site is cut out of a dense stand of Jack Pine. It has a nice shallow landing and is pretty nicely concealed from the river with a good tent pad or two. It'll grow into something nice someday. I checked the USFS map when I got home and, sure enough, it's marked open.
