Great site. One of only two on Amoeber Lake. Didn't check out the other site. Landings weren't the best but still very doable. Plenty of nice tent pads. Unknown how they are in inclement weather, since the weather was great while we were here. We (only two of us) tucked our tent back in the tree a little. Not a lot of brush surrounding the toilet. Could be an issue for a larger group. Kinda oxymoronic to say, "mosquitos were bad", but they were when we were there. Great ledge to relax or fish off next to kitchen area. Nice large kitchen area with lots of seating. Can swim right off the landings. Stayed a couple of nights before heading back in the direction of the Moose lake entry point.

Nice spot. Kind of a "docking berth" landing option that I found really handy. Wildlife obviously gets fed a lot -- squirrels and snappers hang around all the time. Within easy earshot of the other Amoeber campsite if they're being loud, though.

Landing is a bit cumbersome. Canoe storage not the best. Fire grate is elevated and offers a good view of the lake but was a little exposed. Awesome tent pad back in the woods with a couple of decent ones as well. Plenty of trails for exploration and firewood gathering.

THIS IS A GREAT SITE. The main tent pad is the most ideal tent pad I've ever had. Lots of tree cover and soft ground. Great for hanging a tarp for heavy rain. The fire grate area is high up with fantastic views and great breeze. Plenty of places to store your canoe. Great put in put out for the canoe. Only negative is the john has little privacy so just tell your campmates to look away. 5/5 easy.

This is a nice site and the group before us left all sorts of fire wood stacked near the fire pit. We returned the favor when we left. We got nailed by a big thunderstorm in our time here.

Great for 5 guys on hammocks - 2 near the shore, 3 in the cedar grove with plenty of space. Fire grate/kitchen area big with great seating. Shoreline was good. Open in middle for star gazing. Awesome location for Bush wackin' up to 1600-1700' elevation peaks for awesome views.

A nice site for a smallish group. Larger groups might prefer the other site on Amoeber. Good landing that can be a little tricky depending on water levels. Excellent kitchen and seating areas.

Great island site, open and flat, with hiking trails off back porch, large kitchen and good for multiple day layover
