A nice, shallow gravel landing. A little bit of a climb to the kitchen. It is an open campsite with a lot of birch and aspen. Wide open area that you can fit tents in. There are actually a lot more tent pads than I indicated if you don't care if the pads are level. Not much of a view of the lake from the kitchen since it is blocked by trees. Very busy campsite since it is the first campsite on the way in or out of Trout Lake.
