We were at this site in June 2021 with a group of 5 in three tents and from what we could tell the site hadn’t been used in quite some time. There is a nice sand beach landing but that is about all this site has going for it. The actual site is about 60 yards up a hill from the beach. The USFS just created a third tent pad right down by the beach area and it did fit our 4-man tent but it was bumpy and uneven. We had to chop out a lot of small stumps that had been left behind before we could even think about putting a tent there. And it got to be a real drag running back and forth between this tent location and the rest of the site. The other 2 tent pads up the hill are small and full of rocks and roots and very uneven. There is not any place for canoe storage except to drag them into the woods behind the beach, although I guess you could use that third tent pad if you had a smaller group. Food hanging trees were extremely limited. The latrine was sitting cockeyed until we fixed it with a temporary log under the one side. The seating area by the fire pit has one good log and one marginal log and the ground slopes down to the actual firepit. The main camp area is basically set on a large rock outcropping and we found very little level ground where you could sit comfortably in a camp chair or setup a stove. On the plus side, this north-facing site does have a nice elevated view of the lake and is fairly shady and seems to be breezy enough to help keep the bugs away. The beach was also a nice place for a swim on a hot day. If it weren’t for the beach, I would only give the site 2 stars.

Pretty decent site. Nice beach landing with plenty of room. Nice sunset views. Beach is a ways away from actual site. Site is well protected and up on a hill overlooking the lake. Did not seem to get a ton of use.
