This site is on an island in Saganaga Lake. The site is elevated about 10 feet over lake level. Landing canoes and hauling gear is a bit tricky due to the shoreline. The site is smaller than average and has a multitude of rocks spread throughout the site. The tent pads are adequate but on the small side. The fire grate has been enhanced with a rock-built wind break. The latrine is rather far uphill from the camp site. There is abundant deadfall for firewood but farther away from campsite. Plenty of trees for shade, etc. We noticed that the site is near the motorboat route on Sag lake, and heard these throughout the day on both days we stayed. There is limited opportunity to hang bear bag close to camp due to lack of suitable trees. There are several small nearby islands that were fun to explore by day.
