Only thing bringing this down is poor canoe landings. Lake, while pristine, wasn't notable for excellent fishing. Easily located picto on south end. Look for a person in a canoe and a moose.

Absolutely Awesome Campsite on a hard to reach lake. We came in from the East off of Silence. Gnarly day portaging here. We ate lunch and chilled for a bit. I didn't really want to leave but the goal was to get to Kashahpiwi. Really would have liked to stay in this site. Hasn't seen much use. Nice and open in the narrows. Great water access. Open huge grassy area! Pretty sure fishing would be good in the narrows out in front of the campsite but I didn't get to try it. If I go through the work of getting to Trant again I will absolutely stay at this campsite!

[Editor: There is an inukshuk post indicating this campsite is 100 meter south of the location specified by legacy forest (the inukshuk post will not be visible to non-inukshuks). The location you see on the map is a compromise. So the actual site may be anywhere in this area, on either shoreline.]

Spectacular site, unfortunately, usually taken. In a pinch you can find decent site on shore due west. Level mossy granite areas under Spruce forest. Lots of firewood. No specific fire pit.

I'd have to second TTC's assessment. This is an excellent campsite. Nice, large open area in the front of the site--touch football anyone? Benches form a square. Fire ring is outside the square and is built against a large flat boulder for heat reflection. Area adjacent to seating and fire-ring for cooking and is tarpable. The only thing lacking here is a place to land several canoes at the same time.

Huge campsite with wide expanses of flat, grassy meadow. Great views in three directions.
