A very pretty site with a 5* view. Lots of breathing room. The fire pit furniture faces the wrong way. The landing sucks if wet. TP flags all through the woods. Breezy all through camp.

Very large site. Several nice flat tent pads. Windy point. Good fishing around the point and in the bay. Site is very well used - more like a site you'd find in a car campground. Many trees have been cut or stripped of all lower dead limbs. Some TP bombs around.

Beautiful point with lots of good tent pads. Cliff jumping spot across the bay. Nice sunning rocks and well established hearth.

When we arrived to this site the fire was smoldering and would flare up to over the treetops, so that we could see it while fishing from across the lake. We faught it for 3-4 days by filling water in our pack linings and dumping it on the fire. Finally the Park must have noticed the smoke and planes flew in low dropping water and they also dropped a team down that pumped water out of the lake and onto the fire. June 2006

There was a fire at the back of this site (probably '06) but it doesn't really detract from the site. In fact, it was kind of interesting to walk back and try to figure out where the fire started and how it spread. It's in pretty good shape and you should stay here, if you can.

Heavily used site but not over-run and quite comfortable to be honest. Centrally located to accomodate easy day trips accross Cirrus or back into Quetico. Sunrises and sunsets make this a nice 1st night choice into the park. Don't hold your breath on getting this site though as it is frequently occupied by mid-day. Have had Moose and bear in this site on 2 occasions (May). Easy access to cliff jumping and a sandy swimming beach due east in the bay. Canoe friendly landing on south side of the point.
