This is a nice site. Elevated above the river. You can hear Twin Falls at night. There is a nice landing on the east side. At the time of our visit, there was an active Bald Eagle's nest due east from the site. There is also a reasonably large White Pine near the back of the site.

a great campsite with plenty of space. A very welcome spot after slugging it out in the Maligne river. Definitley would return.

Alternate small site on tiny island due south of 4W good for one or two people. Small fire pit at east end. Flat rock ledge for easy landing. Thick middle-aged Red pine tree cover.

This site could easily be a 5 star elsewhere in the park, but since it gets such heavy useage (from LLC guides, I'm told) expect it to be somewhat trashed. I spent 3 hours on 7/11/06 cleaning a lot of trash out of this spot. I don't know how long that will last, but the next party will find it nice.
