We camped here in September 2003 when the other sites in this part of Kahshahpiwi either didn't exist or were full. (Note, Fisher's campsite designations are especially inaccurate in this area). This site is a flat non-rocky area with red pines, so it is good for setting up a tent and tarp, but otherwise it lacks all amenities. I'm not even sure it has a fire ring (we did not have a fire). It's a useful backup to keep in mind, though, if you portage in from Yum Yum and are exhausted or (as in our case) want to get an early start to Yum Yum the next morning.
