I came to call this the Cedar Grove site because you can put the tent in a low protected area among the cedars. Great landing and water access for fishing, bathing, etc. and nice views. Super-exposed fireplace with no seating and no way of putting up a tarp near it. Tents put up anywhere near the fireplace would be very exposed to sun, storms, etc. I'd call it a 2-2.5 star site.

Small but private island with everything you need. Easy launch that doesn't scrape your boat, nice fire pit, ample down trees for firewood, shaded and sheltered tent location, and views to the north, east, and south so it gets ample light. Highly recommended for a 1-nighter as it's only 12kms from French Lake launch.
