Looks like a good swimming site in summer, with a shallow sandy beach. I'd assume the site is pretty bug free in summer since it is on the narrow end of the island and seems to catch a good breeze, especially in the kitchen area. Appears to be well traveled as well, with very little underbrush near camp, although downed wood for a fire can easily be found it you walk a ways past the latrine. Unfortunately the site was vandalized recently by an idiot with a saw. They cut down one of the bigger trees by the shore and left the top in the water. Cut down a few other small trees as well. The site has been left more exposed to wind. They burned some of the original kitchen area seating and replaced it with a downed log that still has the sappy bark on it. There's also quite a horrible mouse problem on the island. The mice will quickly enter any open pack or tent, and will run up and down the outsides of your tent at night. We had to keep our food out of reach at all times, even when cooking.

This site is on the western point of the island and is only open to the east, so it was usually protected from the wind. There's a sand bar landing when the water is low. Good sites for 4 small tents, lots of good trees for hanging hammocks.

Nice island site with a sand beach that makes loading and unloading the canoe easy.

I have been to this campsite twice on two separate trips. Perhaps it is because this was the first site I ever stayed at, it is still one of my favorites. At least 2 good tent pads but I think there might have been 3. Small but sandy landing area that is easy to swim from. Steep drop off to around 40 feet on the south side of the island could be good for fishing.
