Due to the beaver dam on Middle Cone the water level is high enough to paddle straight through to North Cone Lake.

In September 2022, it looks like a beaver dammed the outlet of Mid-Cone and raised the level of the lake. We had no issues floating through this portage over what looked like a second partial beaver dam. The narrow inlet leading to it was really beautiful, with many trees apparently dying from the high water providing striking colors.

A very short hop. Slightly up and over.
