Meat water level is very low, so the lake is divided at a formerly submerged narrows. We carried our gear beyond the portage end, walking around the NE segment of the lake on the dry exposed lakebed, before putting in to the larger part of the lake at the narrows.

A bit damp in places and some terrain to cover. Avoid fake trails that branch off. All in all not too bad. It was late in the day before I got here.
