When going east you will find the start of this portage when you can't paddle anymore up this creek. It is tricky since most of this creek is getting blocked by low laying tag alder. It is now marked with flagging tape. I made the mistake of getting out too early. The rest of the portage was burned by the 2021 fire but marked with flagging tape. This portage will get harder over the years as the forest under growth comes back and the standing dead start to get knocked over by the wind. The east entrance to the portage is up the creek by about 100 m and marked with a rock carin.
