The river end of the portage was beautiful in the fall colors as the grasses turned towards a deep auburn. Unfortunately, there was the leftovers from quite the algae bloom on the Sawbill side which was kind gross to wade off through, leaving a stinky green sludge on things.

Wide, easy portage. Kelso side is at the very end of the weedy river portion which makes it hard to miss. Sawbill landing emerges into a large back bay. 1/10.

excelent protage. Couldn't be much easier. The landing on the Sawbill side has a nice area to the south that is much easier to get in/out. Went with my dad and found this on the way out. Would have made life easier on the way in.

About as easy as it gets. Nice, wide landings on both sides.
