When paddling north I could not find this portage. I think it was on the east side, but I also looked on the west side. I even went into the bush to look for old blazes, cut trees, flagging tape etc. The 2021 fire burned through here, so many dead standing and burnt fallen trees. I think the distance is closer the 150 m as on the WCPP Chrismar map vs. the 655 m distance on this website. There was low water when I was paddling, so I just got out and portage up the creek which was a rock garden, and re-loaded the canoe on the east side. The good news is that the Park was planning on a portage clearing trip through this area late in August, so it should be good now. Check with them if planning a future trip through this creek.
