When paddling east to west you will find the portage on the south side of the creek. The portage goes up and over a granite ridge and down to a muddier section west of the rapids / falls. This distance is only 100 m as labelled on the WCPP Chrismar map. Not sure why this website makes it longer? West of this, the creek has few fallen over trees blocking the creek. I cleared as many as I could with a handsaw in 2023, so it is now passable.

Deadfall blocked the stream west of the west end takeout (unload, pull over, reload). The unmarked portage takeout was on the south side, not far past the blockage. The portage was very steep at the start, then flat. Some mud, some deadfall, moderately challenging. (measured at metres)
