Concur with motley. My son went to step into the water to get in the canoe and sank thigh deep in muck. The south landing approaching from the water look for the large white rock. Landing is the the right. This is not well traveled and the path is almost overgrown. Decided to return to Agnes via the two portages to the west instead of doing this again.

Lowland portage with some big cedar trees at the south side. The north landing is a muck pit, make sure you're stepping on something solid or you'll have mud up to your knees.
