This portage sees heavy use and is easy. A level and wide trail with a bit of mud at each end. Both landings are just fine. The hardest part is getting there, the river is often weedy, blocked by a beaver dam, or swarming with bugs. Luckily and somewhat concerning is the fact that many of the dams have a hole just big enough for the passage of a canoe. I wonder what the beavers would have to say about that.

There sure were plenty of other groups traveling the river this day. We were making good time despite the weedy sections and the few beaver dams. This one required a little boulder hopping, but we made it through just fine.

Portage itself is pretty easy. Landing is tough.
