Nice portage with some elevation out of Ensign. Well-used and fairly straightforward. Good landings.

Took this from Ensign to Ashigan - what a climb! Not so so bad, but you could very much feel the elevation gain. Going the other direction must be a breeze. Both landings are fine, nothing too notable.

Take this to Ashigan, relative easy portage. Nice lake waits at the end. approach is good from Ensign.

SO MANY CRAYFISH on the Ensign side. In early June there were dozens visible from one spot standing in a foot of water near the shore. You could have scooped them up with a bucket. It was awesome. Portage was nothing to write home about. All of the portages from Ensign to Ima are pretty easy I think.

This is a very pleasant portage - shady, with a good tread. Even uphill from Ensign is OK.
