74 rods?? Way shorter than that, more like 16. Pretty portage, although we had to walk through water at one point. There are rapids heading south (from Cirrus to BH) making it impossible to portage north. Use the nearby one instead if heading that direction.

Just a walk in the woods between two little pools. Nice high rock wall on the north end of the portage.

The south end is really soft. We tried to make a dock with branches but got muddy anyway (just like every other time I've been through here). The Cirrus end isn't a bad put in.
