First portage of our trip was relatively straightforward, even for newbies, with a couple of muddy and buggy sections (particularly at beginning - west side).

The trail is powerboat-width with gentle grades, but rocky and potentially muddy in wet weather. Overall, the portage is easier than average when the weather is dry.
