Wow...this portage is a real grind! I was more concerned about the longer portage to the east that leads into Kahshahpiwi but this one was more difficult (if you are heading east). The portage is basically a non-stop series of ups and downs. It also seems to meander in all directions making the portage seem much longer than 102 rods. There is an old boardwalk on the eastern end where the boards are starting to rot so be careful.
