Be wary as you approach (or depart) from the Koma end as there are a bunch of "rockodiles" just below the surface that may be aggravating to navigate through on windy days. A large shallow rock slope landing on the Koma end with a nice path that parallels the rapids and then eventually drops down to a small though decent landing on Malberg. Somewhat reminds me of the Lil' Sag ~ Mora portage with the scenic rapids.

There's a cool huge boulder in the middle of the channel here. We sat and fished and watched a Fisher scramble around the backside of the boulder. Very neat. Picked up some garbage, tracked down the old benchmark location, and were on our way.

A short and easy portage that follows the rapids next to it. Be sure to stop on the Malberg side and enjoy the view back upstream.
