Long portage again. Rocky. Not horrible, just long and rocky. And tons of biting black fly's. We were told that it may be possible to get through the river without taking the portage, but both sides that go through are dams that have been blown apart. there is concrete with re-bar sticking up under the water and out of the water. Extreme danger for kevlar canoes. So we hiked this portage and made it through. At least the food pack was half empty!
