We set off on this route since all of us had been on Knife and Kekekabic plenty in our guide seasons. it was interesting coming through here instead. As others mentioned, this stretch is a muddy collection of beaver ponds. We got through this first one quickly.

Coming from Sema this portage was hard to spot. Remember just follow your ears and go to where you hear the water running. From the beaver pond the trail climbs gently up to Spoon over a boulder path.

Took a day trip from Kekekabic for fun. Don't go from Sema to Spoon through these little lakes, unless you like pushing your canoe through mucky beaver dams!! That being said...it was kind of fun to get a change of scenery.
