We came through this way to see a few lakes neither of us had seen before. After the PMA, a little mud wasn't going to faze us too much. The Ima end is adjacent to a neat rock and cave system which is worth checking out if time allows.

This is an underused and overgrown portage. Our BSA Venture Crew did a service project here (with ranger permission, of course) where we cut back some of the encroaching vegetation and TRIED to resolve some of the shoe-sucking mud issues by laying down birch bark and other flat vegetation to make a firmer surface. I'd love to see some other comments about whether it did any good.
