This portage is not marked on Fisher Maps (at least the 2018 map I have) and judging other comments, I think there's a reason.

This portage seems to be largely the same since the initial review of it from 2013. Steep with two large trees down across it that are difficult to get canoes over. This portage is clearly not used much and it shows.

In 2017 the previous description still stood. A few large pines down across the trail at chest height.

This portage was pretty rough with a lot of obstacles. Over trees, under trees. It was exhausting and especially difficult for the people portaging the canoes with little visibility. We joked that it was meant for those 10 and under since the kids in our group thought it was a lot of fun. If you can I would go to the other fork of East Bearskin and take the other portage. That one is EASY!
