Good landing on Cap end. Climbs out of Cap, levels off, drops down to a small creek and then climbs up to the cutoff. Easily followed path.

This trail was surprisingly well maintained for being fairly remote. There was one river crossing and a few large rocks along the trail. Overall an easy portage with a good 1/2 way marker with the intersecting trail from Boulder. It looked like some moose helped clear the path near Cap Lake.
