I'm trying to expand the RouteFinder to other areas besides the BWCA/Quetico. Some areas I'm trying to go to are:
- Sylvania Wilderness Area (basically done, just need to put it on the website)
- Algonquin Provincial Park
- Woodland Caribou Provincial Park
- Wabakimi Provincial Park
- Atikaki, Whiteshell, and Nopiming Provincial Parks
- Apostle Islands
- Allagash Wilderness Waterway
- Saint Regis Canoe Area
- Various other small canoeing regions, such as some state parks
- Some popular paddling rivers
As you can see from the areas, I'm hoping to appeal to both canoeists and kayakers, so I probably need to use paddle or paddling instead of canoe or canoeing. (I'm a canoeist, so I've been very biased towards that.) Some of the areas are more day-tripping than camping, but I think the site will always be mostly about paddle camping.
I'm also working on a trip planning app - packing lists, group coordination, maps, etc.
What is this site about if it isn't planning? Why do you come here?
I agree completely with keeping it short. But how to do that and still encompass everything this site is and will be about?
