I will be going in through Skipper or portage Lake and heading west, doing a loop to the west. I can see my reservation, but I can’t find my entry point number or see exactly how I get to the entry point. Can anybody help?

There are two ways to get to the entry point. The most common is to park at the public landing on Poplar (or at Rockwood Outfitters) and paddle to the portage that is right around the corner from the landing. https://tinyurl.com/24eqsuwy

The lesser used way is by parking at the Iron Lake Campground and paddling through Portage Lake and One Island Lake. There is not much parking space at Iron Lake, and there are multiple portages to enter the BWCA. https://tinyurl.com/28p67fxa

Both routes will take about the same amount of time to get to Rush Lake. However, I would choose to start at Poplar despite the longer portage.

PaddleNei, how did the trip go? And what entry did you end up using?
I entered Portage via poplar this July and enjoyed a loop down to Davis and back through Lizz. It was great!
