Hi Ben: I'm in the initial stages of planning another Wabakimi trip - starting from the Allenwater Bridge Via Rail. I thought the map was updated to reflect the 2023? fire which burned on the west side of the park (I think with Brennan Lake as the Eastern Boundary and Wabakimi Lake as the Northern Boundary). I cant seem to see it. Thanks - and I hope you have a great holiday season. OhPaddler

I can't recall if I did - I had been planning on it. Obviously it is not showing on the map. I'll check on it and add it if I forgot.

I added the Wabakimi fires between 2021 and 2024. This begs the question, though - how far back should I go? There are several other fires within the last 25 years. I include anything after 2005 on the BWCA map. Wabakimi is a different environment, though. How far back should I go?

Thanks for adding the layer Ben. It helps for my planning purposes. Thats a great questions re: how far back should you go. I'd pick a number of years as the standard and move forward - maybe BWCA map as the model. I think the bigger question would be how long will the maps reflect the damage shown by the fire before they fall off. If others need more info - it could always be added at a later date. Thanks again, OhPaddler
