This forum is meant to share deals and promotions for gear, outfitters, and other relevant items. First we have to establish a few rules and clarify a few things before using this forum. 

We (Paddle Planner) will post various links to deals that we think you will be interested in. Some of these will look like ads, and they are . (We are affiliates of several companies - see this disclosure.) After all, with our membership prices so low, we have to try to make it up somewhere else. We will only post things, though, that we believe will benefit you.

We invite those that advertise on this site to post in this forum as well. (If you are not an advertiser on this site, please ask us first before posting.)

Finally, if the only benefit you get from posting is the satisfaction of sharing a good deal with someone else, post whatever deals that you think members will be interested in - tents, gear, canoes, etc. We would like to keep the posts to items that are connected with paddling and camping.

The point of these rules is to limit spamming and cluttering up the board with irrelevant items. "Posting ability" will remain open to all members. If it gets abused, we will have to lock it down further, but hopefully that doesn't happen.

Because most promotions expire at some point, we will prune the topics once in a while so the old, stale ones get deleted.
