Hello all, new BWCA thoughtful member.  I'm planning a September (early) trip and curious as to how busy the area may be specifically in regards to finding a campsite.  I love the idea of seclusion but i won't let it limit my route.  I'll be in a kayak (!!! I know), i have reasons but this trip sounds amazing and with minimal portages seems great.  I'll likely stretch a farily easy 3 day trip to 5-6 days to relax and enjoy the areas.  Thank you in advance!  -Alan

Kayak:  handmade from family property Cypress felled by my Grandfather in 1952.  I finished it in 2017.

Thanks in advance, i admire the group here.

Not very busy after labor day. In a normal year, starts to thin in August because of school.

Paddle up Moose, Prairie Portage, and to Upoer Basswood Falls, and back - seems wonderful. I have had an urge to combine with Quetico and do perimeter of Basswood but all those bays on US side you could do near a week just in US.

Nothing to add beyond Bill's comments, but that kayak sounds amazing. Please post pics once you're back!
