Anyone talking to me finds out quickly that I am a huge proponent of getting kids out into the wilderness. Bending Branches interviewed me on this topic and published the article this morning. My kids make a lot of appearances

Love the interview. I am always a fan of getting kids out to introduce them to nature. I have 3 kids (all grown now) I had them out on hiking trips very young. But sad to say I lost one to the gaming world :(

I agree with the importance of getting kids into the wilderness. We took our kids on trips every year beginning at age three.  Now we are beginning to take our grandchildren.  A wonderful way to foster an appreciation for the environment, develop problem solving skills, and improve resilience. Plus it's just fun!

I know how much of an impact getting kids out in the wilderness can make, and I'm so glad to read about your experiences. It sounds like you have a great connection with kids, and I was wondering if you've ever thought about fostering a child in need? It's a great way to make a difference in another child's life. If you're interested, you can find out all the details and conditions for becoming a foster parent here: https://fosterplus.org/what-it-takes. Fostering a child can be incredibly rewarding and can really change their life for the better.
