This is likely the most secluded campsite on Kawishiwi Lake and sits just off the main travel route. It offers more solitude than most entry-point lake sites.
There are multiple landing options. I parked my canoe next to a downed tree, but there is also a grassy area and a small flat rock that could be used. The grassy area is probably the best option.
The kitchen has an excellent view of the lake but very little shade. A nearby jack pine provides limited shade later in the day. The two tent pads are excellent - flat, grassy, shaded, and slightly elevated above the kitchen, which should help with drainage. Despite strong west winds during my visit, the site itself was sheltered and remained a little buggy. It would probably only get a good breeze if the wind were out of the south.

Nice view, grassy landing, not the best swimming. Decent tent pads.
