The defining feature of this campsite is the sandy beach, which makes landing easy and adds to the experience if you enjoy sand.
The campsite is close to the entry point, so I saw a fair amount of traffic, though most groups appeared to be traveling past rather than stopping. There is a good mix of sun and shade around the site, and several trails run along the shoreline.
I found two level, good tent pads and a third smaller pad that could work if needed. Overall, this is an average campsite, but the sand beach gives it a slight edge.

This may just be one of the shortest entry point to campsite paddles available in the BW except maybe Gunflint Lake. It seemed a fine site set up in the trees with a good view of the lake, but I'm not sure it's any different than the campground at this location.

Great site to camp for a night before heading in or out of EP 37. Beautiful beach, a rarity in this neck of the woods. Certainly not the best fishing you'll find in the BWCA, but trolling the weed lines at dusk should put you on a few walleyes. Tight lines.
