This is first site south of mouth of Hog Creek and is most useful if wind and waves preclude looking for better site. The water is sufficiently deep off the attractive rock ledge, but landing is exposed to wind from 3 directions. Canoes have to lugged up to the smallish clearing that could be mostly occupied by tents. There are 2 good tent pads, and a few more could be packed in closer to fireplace. The grate is quite close to the water and is not well fortified against wind. Only 1 log seating.
