This campsite is located on a long, sloping rock with a good view of the lake but very little shade. The site is exposed and surrounded by dense jack pine and spruce forest behind it.
The landing is fairly easy at the base of the sloping rock, but it requires a hike up to reach the campsite. The fire grate sits roughly ten to fifteen feet above the water.
I found two usable tent pads. One is on bare rock with no ability to stake, and the other is grassy behind the fire grate. There may be space for a very small third tent. While the site has a good view, it did not stand out to me compared to others in the area.

The better percentage of the site is situated onto an exposed large rock slope, including the landing. There aren't many larger trees located between the landing and the main kitchen area but, there forest closes in a bit just behind camp. There was a bunch of premium dead & downed wood on the trail to the latrine. There are a couple of decent tent pads but since the trees are so bushy/brushy tarp & hammock options aren't ideal. There was a plethora of perfect skipping rocks down near shore. I give this one extra credit for being reasonably secluded & the only site on the lake.

Nice site on a gorgeous lake. I would love to spend more time fishing this lake. If you can find the sunken island, you will find the fish. I lost the largest smallmouth bass I've ever seen. It breached the water and waved goodbye to me as it threw my barbless lure from it's mouth. Lot's of moose activity in this area.

Tons of room for tents on this secluded site. Beautiful view of mist on the lake in the morning.
